The Scout Hut

We are fortunate enough to have our own Scout premises where both Scouting and non-Scouting activities can take place during the week. With Beavers, Cubs and Scouts meeting 3 nights on the week, the hut also plays host to a daytime glass craft club, fitness group, local youth club and self-defence classes. The hall can also be hired out to users for private functions.

The Scout Hut started off life as a Methodist Chapel in the early 20th Century and has been a landmark in the centre of the village. Sometime around the 1960’s, the Scout group at the time acquired the building, transforming it into a more practical Scouting Headquarters with the addition of a kitchen, small back room and toilets.

Our Scout Hut is available to be hired for events and functions. It is a shell that can be (and is) used for a variety of functions including birthday parties, BOKWA fitness group, Kickboxing and even small training events. If you are interested in hiring out the hall, please send an email to  who will help out.
